Courses are our “Level” Courses that we run once a week for 4, 5 or 7 consecutive weeks throughout the year, and are progressive so you can easily move from one level to the next with all the skills you need to advance. In our courses, we explore the practical “how to’s” of honing your skills.

- Practical drawing techniques
- Negative space
- Learning to see with an Artist’s eye plus much more!
Our Workshops range from 1 to 5 days, and are jam-packed with information and exclusive techniques. They are especially for those who have a little knowledge of painting (not absolute beginners) through to advanced professional artists who wish to focus in on mastering a particular subject without a lengthy time commitment. These short Workshops are taught by professional guest artists from Queensland and interstate. Marcel Desbiens also runs short Workshops which cover particular subjects e.g. painting clouds, water, flowers etc… They are held throughout the year so if you missed out, take a look at our Events, contact us or subscribe to our newsletter to receive information on new workshops.
