Andrew Bonneau was born in 1981, his work reflects a deep sensitivity to the forms of nature and the subtlety of light, embodying many qualities of the Western Realist tradition.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts at The National Art School in Sydney and later studied at both The Charlie Sheard Studio School and the Julian Ashton Art School. He later studied in New York under Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier at the Grand Central Academy of Art.
Andrew has recently been selected as a finalist for the AME Bale Travelling Art Scholarship, the Moran Portrait Prize, the Gympie Regional Gallery Portrait Prize, the Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize, the Stanthorpe Regional Gallery Art Prize, the Benalla Nude Art Prize, the Archibald Prize, the Percival National Portrait Prize and the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize.
He has exhibited in Australia, Dubai and The United States and has work in private collections around the world.
